Can anyone tell me the history of Lady Hill near Askrigg/Aysgarth? I can't seem to find much information on the web regarding it. The only thing I've found is that the trees are Scots Pine and there was, and probably still is, a large rabbit warren close to it.

I was just wondering why it is called Lady Hill and was there a settlement there at one point?

Thanks,
Michael.
